Men's Recovery

Established in 1981. A peer group oriented residential facility that provides shelter and services in a supportive, drug-free environment that is conducive to individual recovery from the disease of alcoholism and/or drug addiction.
These treatment services target the disadvantaged and disenfranchised residents of West Fresno and Fresno County. Since 1984 to this date, with its present contract with the Fresno County Health Services Agency, more than 500 men have been admitted and have received substance use and/or abuse treatment services.

- ADMISSION CRITERIA
Admission is open to anyone experiencing alcohol and other drug use related problems, issues or difficulties.
- Male Residents of the State of California, the City and County of Fresno
- 18 years if age or older
- Must be willing to abstain from any type of alcohol or other drugs
- Must be willing to submit to random alcohol & drug testing
- Must be willing to submit to a physical examination

- WHAT IS KING OF KINGS MEN'S RECOVERY HOME?
King of Kings Men’s Recovery Home opened in February of 1981. It is a ten-bed facility for men, ages 18 and over. The facility provides a point of intake and recovery process for individuals who are in need of residential recovery services in a racially and culturally specific, homelike environment conducive to recovery. It provides an accessible, community–based recovery home with which residents of the Fresno community can identify.
- HOW LONG CAN YOU RESIDENT STAY IN THE HOME?
Residential treatment services at the King of Kings Men’s Recovery Home can range from 90-days up to (1) one year.
- WHAT DO RESIDENTS DO IN THE HOME?
Residents of the facility participate in all phases of the home’s operation as part of their recovery process. Trained and certified staff of the facility provides counseling, both on an individual and group basis. Attendance to outside self-help support group (AA and/or NA meeting is also part of the treatment regimen).
