This policy explains what CAC does to keep information we collect from you private and secure. We want you to know how we collect and manage that information to serve you well.

Class Action Cause is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide its members, visitors, and users relevant information on issues that affect the foundation of American families through the use of 21st century technology.

Q.  How do we gather the information?
A.  How we collect and store information depends on the activities in which you elect to participate and the services provided. For example, you may be asked to provide information when you register for access to our sites or request certain features, such as newsletters, news updates, or when you purchase one of our products. We do not collect any Personal Information unless it is provided to us voluntary through forms or data fields.

Q.  What information do we have about you?
A.  Personal information (as defined below) will be gathered when you participate in voting, in polling activities, other advocacy efforts, or other interactive areas of our site. Like most web sites, CAC also collects information automatically and through the use of electronic tools that may not be readily visible to our visitors such as  your Internet Service Provider or use cookie technology to recognize you and hold information from your visit. Moreover, the cookie may store your user name and e-mail address which helps you from having to re-enter that same information each time you visit our site. As we adopt and install additional technology, we may also gather information through other means.

Q.  What choice do I have about not providing you personal information about me?
A.  In certain cases, however, you can opt not to provide us with information, for example, by setting your browser to refuse to accept cookies, but if you chose to do so, you may not be able to access certain portions of the site or may be asked to re-enter your user name and e-mail address.

Q.  What do we do with the information we collect about you?
A. CAC does not sell, lease, rent, or give away information we collect from you to third-parties.Certain information that does not personally identify you may be used in many ways. This personally unidentifiable information may be used collectively with others to help us assess your usage patterns with similar information obtained from other users to help enhance our site and services. CAC may use identifiable personal information collected from you to send you update that we believe will be of interest to you.  We will also use the said information to communicate with you about services and products offered by CAC, its affiliates, or partners or for other purposes, including but not limited to site administration, troubleshooting, processing of e-commerce transactions, and other communications with you.

Q.  What choice do you have about information sharing and use?
A.  We will use your information only as permitted by law. You have a choice to opt out. If you prefer not to receive direct communications sent by CAC, you will be given an opportunity to decline before you provide us information we might use.

Q. Does CAC collect information about children?
A.  CAC does not knowingly collect or solicit Personally Identifiable Information from or about children under 13 except as permitted by law. If we discover we have received any information from a child under 13 in violation of this policy, we will delete that information immediately. If a parent or a guardian has reason to believe that a child under 13 has provided CAC with Personal Information (as defined below)  any information from or about anyone under 13, the parent or the guardian should contact us  at the address listed below.

Q. What is Personal Information?
A.  Personal Information is any information that can identify you, such as your name, street address telephone number, email address and other similar information. You may chose not to provide Personal Information if you do not what it to be collected. However, this may limit your participation in particular features or activities that require such information.

Q. What is Non-personal Information?
A.  Non-Personal Information is information that is not personal, such as questions, comments, ideas, and suggestions that you provide, or information that we may collect that is not linked to any Personal Information. Non-Personal Information will be treated as non-confidential, and we may disclose and/or use that information without any obligation whatsoever to you, for any purpose and through any means.
